DryTile: Installing ceramic tiles without tile adhesive. The tiles have a natural cork shell at the bottom and are easy to lay on different surfaces.
Why is the product or service circular?
This way of working has the advantage that floor tiles can be removed easily and without demolition. There is no waste of tile adhesive or broken tiles.
Which circular strategies are applied?
- Reduce total amount of materials: There is no waste of tile adhesive or broken tiles. DryTile can be placed on almost all existing surfaces, so they do not need to be demolished or modified. The tiles can easily be removed and reused.
- Reduce amount of virgin inputs: Using cork and baked clay as raw materials, the product has a high biobased content.
- Maximise the reusability of a product or component: The product is designed so that the floor can easily be taken apart and the tiles are 100% reusable.
- Maximise the reusability or recyclability of materials: The tiles consist entirely of biodegradable material.
