Satino Black

hygiene paper

Brief description of services

Satino Black is a toilet hygiene concept that aims to leave the planet with a better environment by implementing unique recycling concepts and using responsible raw materials. It bears the Cradle-to-Cradle quality mark, is 100% CO2-neutral, and is produced without harmful additives.

Why is the product or service circular?

The concept is based on a closed loop. Local raw materials, such as archive paper, paper coffee cups and used paper towels, are used as raw material to produce tissue paper. This is returned to the organisations where the waste originated.

Which circular strategies are applied?

  • Reduce amount of virgin inputs: Local products such as archive paper, paper coffee cups and used hand towels are used as a secondary raw material for the production of hygiene paper.
  • Maximise the reusability or recyclability of materials: The paper waste streams are used locally as a raw material for hygiene paper. This is laid down in a recycling agreement with all parties in the chain. In this way we prevent incineration and / or transport outside our region (which often happens within the waste paper trade).

What are the benefits for purchasers?

Less residual waste, fewer CO2 emissions and lower water and energy consumption, possibility of circular procurement or participation in the circular economy. This also helps in the development of a sustainable image.
