How to design tenders using the “MEAT” (Most Economically Advantageous Tender) award criterion

This GPP helpdesk webinar, held on 30 March 2022, focused on how to design tenders using the “MEAT” (Most Economically Advantageous Tender) award criterion. According to the EU Public Contracts Directive (2014/24/EU), tenders must be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender. It can be identified on the basis of price or cost only, using a cost-effectiveness approach, such as life-cycle costing, or on the basis of price together with other elements, which can include qualitative, environmental and socially responsible factors (best price-quality ratio), linked to the subject matter of the contract.
