Sale of former library includes circular conditions

In August 2019, the inhabitants of Mechelen moved all books from the historical library to their new destination in the Predikheren Monastery. The building was then offered for sale under certain conditions with the intention of developing it into a residential site. The sales conditions stated that the development should contribute to the circular (construction) economy.
