Recovery and recycling of smalle office supplies

In December 2020 Lyreco Nederland (distributer of office supplies) and  SUEZ Recycling & Recovery Netherlands (expert in sustainable material- and waste management) signed an agreement to collectively recycle small office supplies for their clients.In

In de Benelux an extimated 150 million pens are thrown away each year. Add small supplies like erasers, paper clips and staplers and it becomes a significant amount of waste that usually ends up in residual waste. By joining forces, Lyreco and Suez want to avoid materials being wasted an give them a second life. Both companies offer their Dutch clients the opportunity to place a recycle box for the collection of small office supplies. By scanning a QR-code on the box, the client can ask to collect it once it is full. Lyreco will collect the box and Suez will sort and process the different products. De clients will recieve a detailed report of the weight of collected material per category and the type of products that will be made of the reused material.
