Why is the product or service circular?
Derbigum NT is a product group in our bitumen roofing, in which we, as manufacturer, include up to 30% recyclate. This is derived from a blend of production waste, installation waste, and post-consumer waste. In addition, we provide an end-of-life take-back guarantee for this product.
Which circular strategies are applied?
- Reduce amount of virgin inputs: Incorporating recyclate has allowed Derbigum to successfully reduce the use of virgin bitumen by 20%.
- Maximise the reusability of a product or component: When the Derbigum NT range is purchased, we provide the end user with a take-back certificate for the end-of-life of the product. The product is then reprocessed into a secondary raw material.
