Get your role in the circular movement starting by saying yes to circular lampposts! Hydro’s Cradle-to-Cradle Certified™ lampposts are supplied with a guarantee that they’re 100% recyclable, and that all the materials released will be fully returned to the loop.

Why is the product or service circular?

Hydro lampposts are circular products made from recycled aluminium. After many years of maintenance-free use, the lampposts can be completely recycled at the end of their lifespan. We completely reuse all materials released during recycling for new lampposts.

Which circular strategies are applied?

  • Reduce total amount of materials: The design exploits the advantages of extrusion to reduce the amount of materials required to make a lamppost by.
  • Reduce amount of virgin inputs: Hydro is committed to reducing the consumption of non-renewable raw materials. The C2C certification reflects the fact that all the materials used can be returned to the technical loop.
  • Extend the useful life: Aluminium doesn’t corrode, so the product has a very long lifespan. Lampposts often last longer than the original life expectancy.
  • Maximise the reusability of a product or component: C2C-certified Hydro lampposts were designed for reuse. 
  • Maximise the reusability or recyclability of material: We take back old lampposts. All the materials are stripped and sorted at our production location. We recycle the aluminium, and use it in new C2C lampposts.
