Display-as-a-service

Brief description of services

Use an up-to-date LED screen for up to 15 years for which the user pays an all-in price per quarter or year. Installation, maintenance, software, electricity, upgrade, return to factory and disassembly are included.

Why is the product or service circular?

Various circular strategies are applied in the DaaS model (Display-as-a-service), which significantly reduces the environmental impact in terms of CO2 emissions and material use. As many recyclable materials as possible were used in the design, which can also be recovered in a high-quality manner thanks to the modular screw and click system. Due to the modular design, upgrades are possible, which can extend the service life by 50%. By keeping ownership paying the electricity bill, we force ourselves as producers to market a quality product that can be optimized through innovations during its lifetime. The product is dismantled in our own factory after its lifetime.

Which circular strategies are applied?

  • Reduce amount of virgin inputs: The product design avoids hard plastics, foams and coatings as much as possible. Secondary materials are used as much as possible. For example, the cabinet is made with 80% recycled aluminum, 95% recycled steel and  recycled glass with a varying percentage.
  • Extend the useful life: The modular design allows for upgrades and optimizations, elongating the lifespan by 50% from 10 years to 15 years. The modular product design with screw and click system and waterproof case makes the display easy to maintain and upgrade. The constant climate control and glass front ensure that the lifespan of the electronics is extended.
  • Maximise the reusability or recyclability of materials: As many recyclable materials as possible were used in the design, which can also be recovered in a high-quality manner thanks to the modular screw and click system. The aluminum case is 100% recyclable. After its lifespan, the product is disassembled in our own factory. The watertight cabinet avoids foams, coatings and hard plastics on the parts. This makes them more recyclable.

What are the benefits for procurers?

  • What are the benefits for purchasers? Longer use of the same product - that is kept up to date for 15 years.
  • No large investment at the start.
  • No risks.
  • Complete unburdening from installation to dismantling.
  • Sustainable purchase.
