Why is the product or service circular?
Temptation is a piece of office furniture composed of three parts. These are linked in a way that makes the product almost 100% recyclable. It’s designed to be reassembled hundreds of times. The parts can be used in different configurations over and over again.
Which circular strategies are applied?
Reduce amount of virgin inputs: The product contains 21% recyclate and 47% is renewable material.
Extend the useful life: Modular design for upgrading and frequent reuse with a long warranty. We use a bill of materials to facilitate conversion for new functions. High quality and very robust construction, made for frequent manipulation and quick and easy (re)-construction.
Maximise the reusability of a product or component: Design for Disassembly. Simple, easily understandable and adjustable structure construction.
Maximise the reusability or recyclability of materials: The product is 99% recyclable. Designed for recycling: 52% wood, 47% steel, 1% plastics. Toxproof certificated. The take-back model is currently being studied.
What are the benefits for purchasers?
Very fast and easy assembly, and possible conversion. Pricelist of spare parts to facilitate efficient reuse. The robust structure has an estimated lifespan of more than 20 years. Costs are limited thanks to the possibility of conversion.
