Why is the product or service circular?

More than 66% of the Tarkett carpet range is made from recycled material (PA6 yarn and recycled lime). 99.7% of old carpet tiles are recycled back to basic raw material. The EcoBaseTM carpet backing can be used in our own process, and the PA6 yarns are recycled into new yarn. Flooring-as-a-service leaves you completely free of any concerns, and you can rely on permanently clean carpeting for a fixed monthly fee.

Which circular strategies are applied?

• Reduce total amount of materials: 99.97% of the raw material is reused, and we offer a service model.
• Reduce amount of virgin inputs: The raw materials used have already been recycled.
• Extend the useful life: We guarantee the product/service for the entire duration of the contract.
• Maximise the reusability of a product or component: Design for disassembly, modular design, standardised design, insight in composition and connections, take-back commitments, circular revenue models, and providing the customer with insight into subsequent loops.
• Maximise the reusability or recyclability of materials: Design for recycling, providing the customer with insight into used materials, reducing toxicity, take-back commitments, circular revenue models and providing the customer with insight into subsequent loops.

We help you manage floor covering waste, and do our bit to protect natural resources and the environment. Out service can even save you a lot of expenses in your projects. We transform waste and secondary materials into high-quality new products. You receive support with possible procurement procedures or requests for quotations based on circular models. On request, you will also receive reports on your efforts, which you can include in your annual reports.
